Whatever you choose to name them, what remains is that by thinking about them, talking about them, or going as far as writing them down, you are acknowledging that
1) there are a few things about your life that you need to change to make it better, and
2) the change tbat you have recognised as necessary Starts With You.
By setting goals for 2017, or new year resolutions, you have taken the first step to achieving the positive difference that you so desire in your life. You have become aware of what it is that is holding you back, and you have accepted that it is up to you to do what it takes to make your year - your life - be what you want it to be.
But awareness and acknowledgement are just the beginning of a process towards the change that you wan to achieve, and there is a lot more involved than that.
